How do you go about getting your mac icons to pop out? Well after searching online for about an hour I finally found what I was looking for.
Just so you have some backgournd information on what I mean here, let me explain.
I was in Best Buy the other day and while playing around with one of their mac demo’s, I saw that when I put my mouse icon down on the dock, the icons magnified.
After seeing this I remembered that my dock icons didn’t do that on my mac. I wanted this strange yet miniscule feature to work on my mac as it did on the best buy models.
I went home and typed in all kinds of crap to see how to do the same thing but couldn’t figure it out. No matter what I searched for, I didn’t get my answer.
All I wanted was my Mac icons to pop out at me when I hovered my mouse cursor over them, is that to much to ask?
So after almost giving up I finally figured out how to do it, and I want to share it with you right now.
First off the reason I couldnt find it was because I was searching for the wrong thing. When you type in “how to make mac icons pop out on dock”, you wont find anything related to what you want, until now anyway.
What you have to search for is “how to make your mac dock icons magnify”. Doing a search for that would have given you what you needed. But thank goodness you have me, because I am going to tell you how to do it from here. Ok here we go!
1.) Go to the main desktop on your Mac.
2.) Click the apple and select “dock”.
3.) Click “turn magnification” to on.
Thats it!
Go down to your dock icons and there you have it. See how easy that was?
