How to Get Rid of a Hangover
I have never met a business professional that didn’t have a rough morning after a long night of drinking. Lets face it, these are things that we are bound to deal with at some point in our lives, god knows I have had a few rough mornings. Below I have three SIMPLE tips that are guaranteed to remove that nasty hangover. After you read, if you have any tips that you would like to share please do so. Keep in mind that either one of these tips will help you. If you prefer one over the other go for it. These do not need to be done in any specific order or in their entirety. Experiment with them and see what you come up with.
Tip 1 – Water while you Drink
This is a tip that my girlfriend taught me. When ever she orders a drink she gets a small glass of water with it. In between enjoying her beverage she sips some water to keep herself hydrated. Believe it or not this does not diminish the effects of the alcohol, (If you were wondering). The only side effect you will notice is an extra trip to the bathroom here and there. You get the best of both worlds, you have a nice drink and you wake up feeling fine. So if you remember, order a glass of water and sip on that while you enjoy your daiquiri. Odds are you will wake up feeling like a million bucks.
Tip 2 – Milk and Bread
Before you get sick hear me out. THIS WORKS. I remember I did not feel good one morning and a co-worker of mine advised me of this crazy concoction. All she told me to do was eat a few pieces of bread. What this does is soak the alcohol up out of the stomach lining. Then after you have enjoyed your bread sandwich, have a glass of milk. The milk will coat your stomach and act as a Pepto Bismol. Within an hour you will notice the difference. After two hours or less you will be back to your old self. Heck, you might even want to go back to the bar.
Tip 3 – 2 Spoons Full of Honey
No, this is not a Marry Poppins remedy. And I am not a doctor or a honeyologist, I do not know why it works, but it does. Take two teaspoons of honey and within an hour you will start to feel better. It will give you a nice kick if you take it in the morning and the hangover will soon dissipate. Don’t believe me? Try it.
Like I said, any of these three tips will help you and I have personally tried all of them. I honestly prefer the Bread and Milk but if that is not your cup of tea drink some water with your beverage or bong some honey. All three work but it is up to you which one you try. Good Luck!
